Remembering Mike Harris

In loving memory of Mike Harris, the Greenwich Arts Council fondly remembers a cherished friend, dedicated supporter, and gifted photographer whose passion for the arts illuminated our community. Mike's artistic journey with GAC was marked by milestones of creativity and camaraderie. In 2019, he and his wife Sally graced the Bendheim Gallery with 'Picture This, a Decade Behind the Lens with Mike and Sally Harris,' a retrospective that captivated audiences with its visual storytelling and moments frozen in time.

Mike's crowning achievement, 'Now You Can Take My Picture,' a stunning 260-page coffee table book, stands as a testament to his talent and lifelong dream realized. During our 50th Anniversary celebration, Mike generously gifted a copy to the Arts Council, ensuring his legacy would forever be part of our artistic tapestry. His warmth, vision, and unwavering support enriched our gallery and the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mike's spirit lives on through his art and the memories we hold dear. May his photographs continue to inspire for generations to come.
