Greenwich Concert Series 2022 "Music and Conversations" Stefano Miceli, Piano
Appia Entertainment Productions LLC in partnership with the Greenwich Arts Council is proud to present the acclaimed international violinist from La Scala Philharmonic Francesco Borali and the Steinway Artist Stefano Miceli in “Music and Conversations”, a virtuoso violin and piano duet performance and conversational interaction with the audience.
A 21yo duet, Mr. Borali and Mr. Miceli will play famous and extraordinary masterpieces by P. De Sarasate, Devereux, Bazzini, Kreisler and Morricone, among others and talk about creative and emotional approaches to the classical music repertoire. Their successful two decades in performing togheter will help the audience to interact and comprehend the meaning behind the works.
Francesco Borali is one of the violinists at La Scala Philharmonic in Milan, Principal Concert Master at the Milano Metropolitan Orchestra, and he teaches at “Claudio Abbado” Conservatory of Music in Milan. He has performed with international conductors such as Z. Metha, R. Muti, V. Gergiev, among others and since 2001 he plays in Duet with S. Miceli. Mr. Borali plays a prestigeous Boggi violin.
Mr. Miceli is one of the foremost italian conductors and pianists around the world. He has earned the applause of audiences at Berliner Philharmonie, Sydney Opera House, Leipzig Gewandhaus, La Fenice Opera in Venice, beijing Forbidden City Concert Hall, and Carnegie hall. Miceli dedicates part of his time in teaching and directing the Greenwich Piano Institute, and at Adelphi University as a faculty member and Music Director of the Adelphi Symphony Orchestra. He has been the Principal Guest Conductor at the Leipzig Philharmonic and at Cameristi della Fenice in Venice, and Music Director of the Orchestra Sinfonica Italiana. currently Miceli is the President and the Artistic Director of the Milano Metropolitan Orchestra, Artistic Director of the Young Artists Philharmonic and fouder of the Greenwich Concert Series “Music & Conversations” for his Greenwich community and music lovers.
In 2011 Stefano Miceli has been appointed Steinway Artist in Hamburg, Germany and he is a Steinway Spirio Recording Artist.
