Critiquing the Virtual Museum Experience: Jacob Lawrence at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

  • 299 Greenwich Avenue Greenwich, CT 06830 USA (map)

The GAC Winter Art Salon offers an opportunity to participate in a conversation about the arts, rather than remain passive as an audience member.

The conversations will take a deep dive into the whole experience, beginning with an overview of the curators’ theme/thesis, a brief slide presentation of the main works of art, and then a brief tour of the museum’s website wherein we can experience the virtual presentation online.

Each segment (theme, content, and website presentation) will be the focus for a discussion. Preparation for these salons is recommended in order to fully engage in the three conversational segments conducted during the hour we meet on Zoom.
